The Great Emergence?

The following video shows the true colors of the emergent church movement! Notice some of the things Phyllis Tickle mentions; Post Protestant, The Church needs to have a rummage sale every 500 years, let’s go back to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd century to emulate the church in those days and God is doing a new thing, just to name a few. Also, she talks about monasticism and other Roman Catholic teachings.

True children of God beware! The desire of The Roman Catholic Church is to get everyone back under its authority. We need great discernment in these last days (1 John 4:1). The Gospel that the reformation proclaimed is the same Gospel of the Word of God. The Church was established in Acts Chapter 2 and the Gates of Hell cannot prevail against it! Any Gospel other than one that proclaims; by grace alone, through faith alone, on the Word of God alone, because of The Lord Jesus Christ alone and to the Glory of God alone is a FALSE gospel! Paul said in the book of Galatians that if any one comes to us preaching another gospel other than the one we already received then let them be accursed (Galatians 1:8-9). We are also warned by the book of 2 Corinthians (11:4) to beware of ones who would come preaching another Jesus, another spirit or another gospel. Jesus in the book of Matthew warns about false Christ and false Prophets rising up in the last days (Matthew 24:24).

The teachings of the emergent church will lead people straight into the arms of the soon coming anti-Christ and eventually lead them to Hell’s torments. Remember our God is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Praise God that He changes not and with whom there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning (Malachi 3:6, James 1:17). I look forward to any comments that you may have on this video.

Woe unto you!

Luke 6:26 - Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

The following videos are a great representation of what a false prophet looks like, sounds like and acts like. With thousands of followers including one Jew and one Roman Catholic, (as you will see in these videos) Joel Osteen is one of the most popular false prophets of our day. With such quotes as"I see myself more as a life coach than a preacher", no wonder the world and the apostate church love him and want to follow him. We need to take heed to The Lord Jesus Christ words, "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." (Matt. 7:15) Peter also warns us about false prophets when he wrote, "But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction." (2 Pet. 2:1)

We should keep our eyes out for these false prophets who are in the world, they are slick and subtle, just like their father the devil. We are given a great admonition from John when he wrote, "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." (1 John 4:1) One way we can discern if someone is a false prophet is by putting them to the test of the word of God. As it is written in Isaiah 8:20, To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. You never hear Osteen preaching repentance and the Lordship of Jesus Christ, which is proclaimed so strongly in the Word of God. May we take heed to these words. We are living in the last days and there will be many more of these "wolves in sheep's clothing" arising as That Day approaches. Luke 21:28 - And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Nazarene Emergent Plant

This is a very interesting video. How far has the Nazarene Church fallen? The Nazarene Church's support and plant of an emergent "church". We know that they fall short in some of their doctrine and ways of doing things. Could we have imagined them going this far in the past? I can remember the saints at my fellowship talking about the glory days of this Church. What a sad day we live in!

This just goes to show that the Emergent Church has it tentacles in most denominations. Where will this stop? Could this be the crowning jewel of the apostasy? I urge all to warn all those we love to come out of their apostate denominations. Let us remember Paul's words in 1Timothy 4:1 - Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

All Roads "Emerge" to Rome!

It is becoming more apparent to me as time moves forward that the Emergent Church is only a stones throw away from Rome. If you watch the video about Solomon’s Porch notice that the “room” is illuminated with all kinds of candles. The use of art and imagery as a means of worship or helps to worship, falls right in line with the Roman Catholic Church. Also, Notice this quote by their Pastor: “During a recent Life Development Forum we offered a session on Christian practices. In one of the four weeks we introduced the act of making the sign of the cross on ourselves. This gesture has become a very powerful experience for me. It is rich with meaning and history and is such a simple way to proclaim and pray my faith with my body.” Doug Pagitt

They say that all roads lead to Rome. Well there is no doubt in my mind that the Emergent Church is leading many to Rome, which means they are leading many to an everlasting hell (Revelation 20:10, 15 - 10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever; 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire).

Where in the Bible are we told to do these things? We are never commanded to do the sign of the cross on our chest (the “T” really is the sign of Tammuz but we will get into that in later). We also are never commanded to draw images of God, or make Icons that represent something from the Bible ( Exodus 20:4 - Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth). Let us be discerning in these last days and warn others of the unfruitful works of darkness.

Let us proclaim the true gospel to those who are in bondage to a false religious system. This is not exclusive to the Emergent Church or Roman Catholicism but also including the Eastern Orthodox, Mormons, Jehovah Witness, Antiochian Orthodox and many of the apostate Protestant denominations. Let us take heed to these words of the Lord Jesus Christ in Luke 21:28: “ And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”
