All Roads "Emerge" to Rome!

It is becoming more apparent to me as time moves forward that the Emergent Church is only a stones throw away from Rome. If you watch the video about Solomon’s Porch notice that the “room” is illuminated with all kinds of candles. The use of art and imagery as a means of worship or helps to worship, falls right in line with the Roman Catholic Church. Also, Notice this quote by their Pastor: “During a recent Life Development Forum we offered a session on Christian practices. In one of the four weeks we introduced the act of making the sign of the cross on ourselves. This gesture has become a very powerful experience for me. It is rich with meaning and history and is such a simple way to proclaim and pray my faith with my body.” Doug Pagitt

They say that all roads lead to Rome. Well there is no doubt in my mind that the Emergent Church is leading many to Rome, which means they are leading many to an everlasting hell (Revelation 20:10, 15 - 10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever; 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire).

Where in the Bible are we told to do these things? We are never commanded to do the sign of the cross on our chest (the “T” really is the sign of Tammuz but we will get into that in later). We also are never commanded to draw images of God, or make Icons that represent something from the Bible ( Exodus 20:4 - Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth). Let us be discerning in these last days and warn others of the unfruitful works of darkness.

Let us proclaim the true gospel to those who are in bondage to a false religious system. This is not exclusive to the Emergent Church or Roman Catholicism but also including the Eastern Orthodox, Mormons, Jehovah Witness, Antiochian Orthodox and many of the apostate Protestant denominations. Let us take heed to these words of the Lord Jesus Christ in Luke 21:28: “ And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”

Doug Pagitt:

I do not know if you are the Doug Pagitt of Solomon’s Porch. If you are, you are welcome to comment here, if you can prove to me you are who you say you are. Your blogger profile is not open for us to see. I will need some proof from you in order for you to post here. If I find that you are not this Doug Pagitt, then I will delete all of your comments. We encourage discussion on topics but we must know who we are talking to if that person claims to be a leader in the said church.

The Lord has preserved Rev. 22:18 as a warning against Doug Pagitt in his quote concerning the "gesture" of "making the sign of the cross on ourselves" with the following:

"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book."

Scripture never condones such pagan rituals as representing true worship.

Away with such superstitious acts!
